Not at all afraid back then to make his feelings perfectly clear about murderous IRA s-c-u-m was he BT. Or maybe I'm getting him wrong, and this was meant as a tribute to those murdered at Brighton, just like Gordon Elliott thought he'd show how much he loved and cared for his horses by sitting on a dead 'un, and having a photo taken. Perhaps if they'd have managed to get one of the Brighton victims into the House, the three of them could have had a photo taken of them posing next to the corpse.

    The man's a weapons grade ****.

Corbyn is a socialist with misguided ideals, he would never have made a PM, too honest, too naïve and too stupid to play the game.

You don't usually do OTT sinkov. I had not realised just how much the old socialist had gotten under your skin.

To think of, "For the many and not the few" is hardly a misguided ideal kritichris.

A united Ireland, the dismantling of the British Royal Family and a fair deal for the Palestinians are all issues with which I agree totally with Jeremy.

Before your time on here we have debated these issues many times previously. Now please excuse me because I need to go in the garage and find my tin hat. Sinkov artillery inbound!

I'm being restrained BT, I could tell you what I really think of the lying, devious, hypocritical little ****.

You know full well I have met Jeremy on more than one occasion, I hold no special reverence for the man, but his politics and policies resonate with me. I have no idea why you would refer to him as "lying, devious and hypocritical".

In fact I would suggest, the exact opposite is true. He stuck his neck out and the Margaret Hodges of this world had him crucified.

I still think he would have made a belting Prime Minister, especially with Rishi being his Chancellor of the Exchequer.

My God, the two of them would do some serious "levelling up".

You said earlier BT that you could not understand how I could think that JC had condoned 'brutal acts' by the IRA. You said my response seemed OTT but chose to ignore the obvious, so I'll strip out the OTT bit and repeat the main body of the post.

Just five weeks after the IRA had bombed a Brighton hotel (an event which I'm sure you will agree falls under the heading of a 'brutal act'), this happened.

"In October 1984, two weeks after an IRA bomb killed five at the Tory Party conference in Brighton, Corbyn invited convicted IRA volunteers Linda Quigley and Gerry MacLochlainn to the House of Commons. It caused uproar at the time."

My memory is not what it once was sinkov but if I recall correctly all Jeremy Corbyn did was to invite MacLochlainn as a guest to the House of Commons along with another former IRA prisoner, Linda Quigley. They discussed the horrendous prison conditions they had both experienced in Northern Ireland's jails. I have no recollection of any of the three participants being involved in attempting to blow up your favourite pin up girl...
