Back to the game. Personally I didn't watch it but it seems apparent that after yet another disappointing first half performance the manager deserves some praise for his straight talking (As let Abbott's post match comments) half time words to the players and a change of style/approach/formation resulted in a chalk and cheese like performance in the 2nd half.

If the above is true then that's very pleasing to see. Also interesting to hear Abbott confirm that they are fully aware of our teams are consistently approaching games against Notts with our system/approach.

A totally unbiased view of our goals from an Oxford City fan:

"In the second half we were undone firstly by a rare defensive error by Reece Fleet, and then a totally fluked back flip by Sam which cruelly looped over Dudzinski into the net. Although we tried hard to get at least one back, it was not to be and their third was helped by Ben Dudzinski being out of position".

I was thinking about that Sam goal.

If Chicksen had put a decent ball in we'd never have seen it.

Yes, it was kind of a relief to hear the management acknowledge the issues we’ve been having with high pressing teams....good to know they’re working on it. Let’s see how they go on. Like you said, credit to Ardley for addressing the problems for the 2nd half as the first 45 minutes were probably the worst so far this season.

Totally fluked? No grudge there then

Completely disagree that the manager deserves some praise.
Firstly why wait until half time when he can clearly see its going tits up.
This is not the first time it's happened, infact it's a reoccurring event and he must surely know how to effect a game earlier.
Even more shocking is saying that they are aware that teams are aware of how we play.
If so how come as above they then have to wait until half time to counter anything.
Just another example of what a shambles of a manager he is,
    However......
    He is a lovely bloke...
Just to recap, another poor first half performance and this time inferior to a team from a lower league (again).

So we can only praise the manager when we are leading and half time? Sorry edit that deservedly leading at half time?

Wouldn't it be more shocking and worrying if the management team couldn't identify the problems? Totally oblivious? Remember he knows far more about playing football, managing a football team and football full stop than me and you. Light years ahead in fact.

Finally you mention that he's a lovely bloke which he definitely appears to be , can he at least be praised for breaking character by reading the riot act at half time and getting a reaction from his players?

We only beat them 3-2 under KING KEV when they were 2 leagues below us and can’t remember him getting grief. Maybe tactical adjustments were needed in the first half but also a kick up the ar5e as most of the players were poor, a lot were getting their chance and weren’t taking it.
