    quick question

    if you were offered a job in America and the salary was ****ing crazy would you take it?
    even though your wife has said she is not interested and wants to stay in the UK?

    thats the conflict mate.
    122,000 dollars a year as long as i remain with the company in USA (visa reasons )

    it more than doubles my salary and its something new

    Go for it. In the existing climate, cash is king. 2-3 years of that and you'll be in a tidy position if it's doubling your salary.

    Problem is relocating kids... There are good and bad sides to that.

    Sounds like a fantastic opportunity...but also a major watershed moment in your life, man. I suspect you already know the answer deep down so you've got a canny big decision to make.

    Is it not important whether or not you actually like the job?

    Imagine going and finding out you hate it. Then what? I would want to have a really good feeling about this.

    you know what, im glad your answers are as different as my thoughts on it.

    positives
    id love the chance to go there
    the money is great
    the job is already what i do for Europe
    i already know the people i work with

    negatives
    my marriage is over
    my kids want to come with me
    wife is staying for the NHS job she has


    the wife is the problem, she loves her job and is not in it for the money,

    her best friend is her mother
