Sometimes the thing you are looking out for is right under your nose. I'm not sold on the Billy Gilmour hysteria but if he's as good as Chris Mochrie I'd be surprised. This guy just exudes class. Please play him v Arbroath & East Fife and we have our attacking midfielder for the Aberdeen league opener then the whole season. No pressure but seriously I think Mochrie is dynamite.

Seriously, what was all that sh!te about Billy Gilmour? He played for about half an hour & his absence v Croatia cost us a run to the final. Gilmour's that scintillating he can't get a game for his club, what's all that about?
Chris Mochrie may not play in the EPL just yet anyway but neither does BG.

Come on I like a bit of tangerine tinted blindness at the best of times but we can't go about comparing Billy Gilmour with ANY young Scottish player at the minute.

In terms of any kind of comparison with Mochrie. Different positions completely. Gilmour sits in front the defence and dictates play, Mochrie plays a more advanced role. Plus Gilmour is two years older than Mochrie. And there is also the small matter of his MOTM award at Wembley too 😂

Aside from that you have to say Mochrie looked pretty good last night, and has done in all the footage we've seen of him last year. He needs time to learn, develop and grow over the season. If he makes 20+ appearances either starting or off the bench then it will be a good season for the lad. Certainly got high hopes for him.

You need to watch him a bit closer mate. Scotland have a potential world class player on our hands. I'm sure in 12 months time after he's had his season on loan at Norwich it will be clearer than it is already.

not sure about the Gilmour thing but he is the most creative player I've seen in years for us and he's only just turned 18!
