    Glenn Roeder RIP

Only 65, had been battling with a brain tumour.

Soon as I saw Lacey he reminded me of a calm classy defender from the past.

    RIP Glenn.

I imagine there’s still a dusty old bucket full of coins and a few notes in the chairman’s office. ‘The Glenn Roeder Fund’.

Classy player and might have kept us up. Too early a departure. RIP.

Yes, I paid £10 too but I’ll let it go now.
Was a shame the move never materialised. He was certainly a classy player.
    RIP Glenn.

Knowing Jack Dunnett, I bet there isn’t.

Was it £75,000 Dunnett wanted us to raise and he’d then match it? A lot of money in those days - I don’t think we got close to getting the total.

Very sad news, Glenn Roeder was a supremely classy defender who had an immediate positive effect on our performances in an otherwise very ropey season. Seemed like a thoroughly decent guy too when he moved into management. Very sad news, 65 is no age. RIP Glenn.

BTW, anyone recognise themselves in that great black and white photo?
