The good news is Harvey Barnes is out. He usually runs us ragged.
Let’s get Sunday out of the way first. Not many of us on this board expected us to get anything but a drubbing from our visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and they were absolutely spot on. Spurs came into this match on a high after the demolition of Wolfsberg and Bale and Co well and truly delivered. However overall the weekend results did not go too badly for us and we now need to capitalise on that. If you cast your mind back to January 2020 we were in a spot of relegation bother then and after a dismal run we faced a buoyant Leicester City at Turf Moor. Burnley born Harvey Barnes put the visitors ahead at half time but Chris Wood crashed home from close range to equalise. Then came a turning point. Barnes made one of his trademark driving runs into the box and was felled by Ben Mee. Up stepped Jamie Vardy to take the penalty and I for one thought our goose was well and truly cooked. Nick Pope however flung himself to his left and made a spectacular fingertip save. The rebound was shovelled wide. Pure joy and joy turned to bliss when Westwood drove home what proved to be the winner with 10 minutes to go. That game was a seminal moment in our season and we need another moment like that now. Leicester lost 1-3 at home to Arsenal at the weekend and more crucially still lost Barnes to a long term injury. He joins a lengthy Foxes injury list that includes Jonny Evans and James Maddison. For Burnley a fit again Chris Wood came on for the last 15 minutes against Spurs replacing Vydra. This looks like part of his preparation to return to the starting eleven against Leicester. Chris has his detractors but he has a good scoring record against Leicester and we need him bang on form on Wednesday. Who will partner him up front remains to be seen. Will our own Barnes be fit again to return to the fray? What is certain is that a home win will be wonderful for our morale so I say COYC!

When we played Leicester in that match last season we had only picked up 6 points in our previous 9 matches, having won 2 and lost 7 and we were really struggling to get a result, having lost 4 on the bounce and scored 1 goal whllst conceding 8. Pope's penalty save certainly turned out to be the key to turning things round.
Could do with The same on Wednesday Ashy .
If the results of the 1974 FA Cup semi finals had turned out differently, we'd have played Leicester in the final. Who scored the winner in the third place playoff which finished Leicester 0 Burnley 1? And it was held at Filbert Street.
Great article Outwood!
Last years Leicester game was the last time I went on t'Turf.
Three points would be belting.
.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche indicated that both Brady and Berg Gudmundsson were "close" to a return, but they may not be risked with Arsenal visiting at the weekend.

Reading between the lines that means Sean expects nothing from the Leicester game but hopes to get a point v arsenal.
