    ht 1-0 ....I was going to say 'rabbits in headlights' , but perhaps that would be an injustice to Wolves, who with very little have strived to concentrate (if nothing else). For a Wolves fan this is painful to watch, but no worse than was expected I suppose. If ever there was need of a guardian angel it is now. Heads high you Wolves and do your level best to mount at least one threat to the City goal.

    ft 4-1. The record will suggest that Wolves were thrashed in the second half, when in truth there was a stage when City players had lost something of their customary strut, and the relief on their faces after they scored their second goal was clearly evident. In spite of the final result our lads can hold their heads high (as I had hoped they would) and for time there we were not the sacrificial lamb we might have appeared before the break. Well done!...... I'm proud of you all !!!
