Neil Lennon's future employer V The Home of Bruce Andersons development Match Thread

The mighty Hamilton Accies are next up for the once micthty AFC.
Good to see Bruce Anderson being developed and played by Accies, its a damn good job his loan deal does not permit him to play against his parent club.
So for that reason alone I am predicting another eye bleeding, insomnia curing 0-0 borefest.
If Bruce was permitted to play I would go for 0-1 Accies.
All this resulting in our future manager thinking he is already on to a winner as he will be even more convinced that anybody but anybody can get a better performance and approach out of this players. Over to you Neil.............

    0-0

    Onwards and Upwards

Quality name of the match thread

We are at the business end of the season where all the points gained could lead us to lifting the 3rd place trophy that all the losers make out as a great achievement. We haven’t managed that for a few seasons so we must be right losers. Anyway, Hamilton are guff and without Bruce Anderson being able to play they will be severely weakened. We could potentially score 2 (two!!) goals in this match. Get it recorded as this is a rarely seen event.

Welcome to the official thread for the latest match in the Scottish Hoofball League, where Atlantadeen are still contenders for the prestigious Third Place Trophy. This week they take on the mighty Academics of Hamilton in what promises to be an exciting game of end to end soccerball. Atlantadeen big chief Derek McAnus has been talking up his team's chances of overcoming their opponents with his exciting brand of play that's taken them to the giddy heights of fourth place.

McAnus said "We need a solid defensive display against a team like Hamilton who are a well known goal-machine. We need to rely on set pieces to score again this week, but we're trying to avoid bursting the nets because this pandemic has hit us hard and our budget doesn't allow us to buy new ones. A 0-0 draw would be a good result for us from that point of view and i think it's important our supporters understand that. If we can get a point and hope that Hibernian lose, that will take us one point closer to our dream."

It promises to be edge of the seat stuff this Saturday - tune in live, for 90 minutes of blissfully uninterrupted sleep, for just £16.

This weekend promises to be an extravaganza for all fans of boringball, a new brand on the traditional game of fitba.
Up in the North East of Scotland there is a club who have perfected this new brand of football , particularly in 2021.
The main objective is to not score any goals , if you really have to then try and do it from a set piece, and to try not to concede any either. Aberdeen are top of the league for this just now but the trick is to also try and lose , preferably narrowly , every now and then to avoid accumulating too many points. The Dons have been on a fine run of form and I believe their points tally are still in single figures for the last 10 or so games .
Their innovative manager Derek McInnes , affectionately known as McWinless such is his dedication to boringball, has had a huge role in getting the team to where they are now.
The empty stands due to the virus may well continue at Pittodrie long after fans are allowed back as McWinless perseveres with his own obsession for goalless games , it’s almost like a football version of pointless.
Many Aberdeen fans , particularly the more senior ones , are reporting better sleeping patterns due to this brand of football and many look forward to sleeping for an hour and a half on Saturday afternoons while McWinless and his team continue in their quest for pointless perfection.
Tune in on Saturday afternoon for the best sleep of your life .....

Just realised it’s game day already and I’m finding it hard to give a phuck.

Earlier in the season this was a goalfest, 4-2 to the good guys.

Starting eleven was Lewis, Hoban, Taylor, Considine, Hedges, McGeouch, Ferguson, Hayes, Wright, Watkins, Edmondson

I can exclusively reveal it won’t be a goalfest today.

0-0 surely. Without Bruce Anderson Hamilton won't score. Without Bruce Anderson we won't score. No Brucey bonus for anyone today.
