Diagne has had some bad luck with Var. A toe offside.

FFS, when Diagne finishes well, he’s deemed offside!? No f**king luck whatsoever!!! 😡

I did not get one decent replay of that situation, why!? 😡

Effort and determination there but not that final bit of quality. More anticipation of positioning needed - great cross by Gallagher but Phillips should have anticipated and been at the post. I would not go as far too blame Johnstone but the best keepers anticipate their box better and command it!!

Looked like a poor goal to concede ...... Sky pundits raving about the cross ...... but Richarlison was surrounded by Albion defenders ..... apart from that we played well ....... if only we had these players, the organisation and grit at the start of the season ..... too late now ....

There's no way that their heads will drop for the Newcastle match. The stats are practically identical for both teams.

    48 52 possession
    11 11 shots
    3 3 on target
    80 80 pass success
    447 499 passes
    663 699 touches
    27 16 dribbles attempted
    14 11 " succeeded
    15 11 interceptions
    2 3 keeper saves

Yokuslu is some player and the biggest difference to us for having a chance in matches.

I think that many of you have been too harsh on Johnstone on the goal and Phillips for not getting to that cross. Also, how you can compare Diagne to Brown Ideye I don't know as he's a class above Ideye. His hold up play is superb and, but for a couple of inches, would have gained us a point. If anyone underperformed again it was Pereira. Wrong options and poor passing.
There was very little between the two sides tonight and I thought that we played some very neat football. There was no gulf between the two sides and they're pushing for the top four. I'm convinced that if we had this squad from the start we would have had a very good chance of avoiding relegation. I just hope that we can perform this way on Sunday v Newcastle.

Difference though Boingy - it’s that extra bit of quality all these other sides have which we don’t. How many chances do we need to score? Another goal given away!!

The effort and determination was there and that’s great but sadly it’s the quality that gives you the points! Take HRK - we know he puts in the effort but he has zero quality - do you really think he could produce the Odemwingie magic? That’s my point!

You are right Leicester!! It’s that extra bit of quality though - Phillips should have anticipated that cross and Johnstone should command his area better. Top teams do and that’s sadly the difference!

HRK has been used by all the managers weve had while he's been here for a reason. He's a damn good pro. You can always rely on him. I think Diagne will do well for us but it would have been better for him if we had the luxury of being mid table without the pressure. Would be great if we could keep him and Yokuslu but it seems not.
