    arbitration is a joke

i see the chair of the arbitration process is also someone who has worked with the EPL and their lawyers Bird and Bird 12 times!!

The club tried to get him removed because of bias but it was rejected, the EPL now have an advantage.

The EPL also wanted to have the detail of the case private but they were overuled and this will all be made public so we can all see what really went on with the takeover. Talk of Bein sports documents being sent to EPL to stop the takeover etc

I suspect the EPL will not like this second part, we will all be able to see how corrupt they are.

This will be game over for many Newcastle fans if this gets blocked because of corruption, myself included,
i love the club but will walk away if this takeover is blocked because of corruption

Unfortunately for the club, the fans and the City. Mike Ashley gets exactly what he deserves if this deal falls through. He only wants this deal because it suits HIM..

12½ YRS the club has been "up for sale"
Newcastle United died when he bought us...

It will be a long long painful road back

yes but there must be some reason why our team were trying to get him removed from the arbitration process completely. Having him on board compromises the integrity of their side given his relationship with the prem and their lawyers and it also gives the PL another angle to cause a potential delay or way out etc if this guy now works for our lawyers.

The best thing to come from this is the fact it will all be in the public domain from start to finish.

We can see exactly what has gone on and see the facts

From what I have been reading and am no expert. Both sides agreed on him being the 3rd party in arbitration. He didn't disclose at the time he had helped the PL re-write part of the OD test in 2017.

Once it came to light the club went to the High Court to try and get him removed and someone else installed as the 3rd party. The PL are happy for him to sit as the 3rd party so can't use the fact he is connected to Blackstone Chambers. I have since read a bit more and it seems he is retired and not working there.

He will always be a cùnt in my eyes. Even if it goes through and we end up the richest club in the world.
