    Vadaine Oliver

Just seen he has knocked in another 2 today against Ipswich. 12 in total this season , 9 in the league, in L1. Just wondered if any Notts fans rated him when with us?

1 goal in 25 appearances for us, in all competitions.
On a par with Doyley's goal scoring record this season.

He certainly didn't stand out as one to keep, if anything I would have said his level was a division below rather than above.

Maybe he's another suffering from 'the Notts effect', where we manage to turn decent players into poor ones!

If we were offered Oliver in a straight swap for Effi, I pretty sure most on here would say yes. He would certainly suit us at this level as I remember him being a 'physical' player tho not a regular goalscorer, well not for us anyway. A solid 1 in 5 man according to his career stats, so far. 29 as well, I thought he was younger!

He was nowt special , bang average. Only remember him having a couple of good games in his time at Notts.

Big physical lad but not a goalscoring forward.

He didn’t show that much when he was here...just remember him missing a last minute penalty in our 0-0 draw v (I think) Port Vale or Grimsby!!

Another ex Notts playing scoring today in a much higher division , Kane Hemmings.

I'd take the younger Hemmings over Oliver any day
