    I'm starting to get excited

Something strange is happening gentlemen. I'm getting a footballing tingle that I havent felt for a long time . I'm looking at our team, their run in and thinking that I quite fancy this . The this being why cant we finish in the top 4 then ? No one is really better than us and we are capable of beating anyone. There is a downside though unfortunately. One of our star men Jones is out now through injury and Dapo is also likely to be missing from a ban soon for the Covid breach. This takes a lot of pace out of our team and time will tell if we can still deliver results . My friend Ftivano will remember the similarities of this season with 1975-6 when we were down and out at the bottom only to go on a long unbeaten run to safety .

i think it was the 07/08 season we got off to a terrible start and suddenly went on a winning run after xmas to get us up to 4rth i might be wrong on season but i can remember it being the season my pal wul died at xmas and queens went on a run after ,wul never got to see the 08 cup final as he died the xmas before it minds a bit hazed if it was the 07/08 season or the season before that .yes it was the 07 /08 season when queensfirst went on the winning run with a 2-1 win against dundee on 26th dec,we looked odds on to be relegated that season until then .then a 1-0 win at livi with im sure an overhead kick goal if my memory serves me correct lol .

Wasnt then Dougal. 07-08 was the cup final season and we weren't struggling in league.

Yes Hammer 1975 - 76 a memorable season right enough. Doomed to relegation at one stage we went on a 10 games undefeated run to escape. That was the season when we played Hearts twice, Rangers 3 times and, of course, the famous 2 Scottish Cup ties versus Ayr United. There were two long forgotten tournaments also - The Anglo Scottish Cup and The Spring Cup making it 46 games the Queens
    played

We have finished in 4th place six times in the last 20 seasons Dougal if that helps to narrow it down but you are correct about the game on Boxing Day which was a Wednesday in season 2007 - 08 a 2 - 1 victory over Dundee

We were struggling badly in 2005-6 when Iain Scott started the season as manager. Ian McCall replaced Scott around November ( I think) and we started to mount a comeback and stayed up. I think its 2005 -2006 Dougal.

Hard not to get exited with us only losing one game since Boxing Day JRS.

Just need to take things one game at a time
