Didn't Chesterfield do the same thing?

It sounds familiar, you’re probably right.

How they’re allowed to do that, unless there are mitigating circumstances, is beyond me.

I may have it completely wrong. But, let’s furlough everybody and the money we save we can spend on a new player.

Out of curiosity, if we went down that route, who would you play at CB?
You not remember or before your time, Notts' played Andy Gray & Garry Birtles at centre half, both did a good job. We weren't short of a few bob then. Pavis had just taken us over

My memory of Andy Gray is him scoring against Notts, header for Everton, FA Cup?

I can recall Birtles playing CB. Did they play there for more than one game?

Anyway, out of the current squad(fit) who would you play at CB? Apart from maybe Wolfe, I’m struggling.

I don’t understand the issue with bringing in a specialist CB, if you can.

I vividly remember that bizarre but effective centre back pairing.

Effing or Wolfe might be up to the job.

Effiong is definitely the right build, but I think that’s where the positives stop.

I think those who think we can simply chuck someone in at CB are underestimating the importance and challenges of the position. It’s not simply a case of head and kick everything that moves. Positional sense is hugely important, for me it was Hayden Hollis’ biggest down fall. The ability to organise others around you is a must. The ability to anticipate. So much more than simply putting a big man in their. Or someone who can talk (Doyle).

Quarter final at ML. Lost 2-1?
