When I was a lad
And old Shep was a pup
Over hills and meadows we'd stray
Just a boy and his dog
We were both full of fun
We grew up together that way
As the quiz was about dogs' names can we please have confirmation that the dog was actually called Old Shep and not just Shep. Maybe Old Shep was just referring to his age and was the title of the song?
On reflection I see it's entitled famous dogs so maybe he was famous as Old Shep

According to my list, the answer is " Old Shep ", so I have taken the appeal into consideration.
There were no tantrums in the appeal, no tearing of a shirt, no kicking of the laptop, or the dog.
I have not received a complaint from rolymiller to my decision.
So I have taken this decision, I apologise for not keeping up on play, but unlike a linesman, I have not got a flag to wave, nor a fourth official to get in my ear.
I did highlight the ' shep ' answer on my paper, thinking in case a tie, & this answer counted, I would have sin-binned it, but I slipped up, forgetting the answer advantage aggregate could be affected, so I adjudged the ' Shep ' answer to be wrong.
Gentlemen my decision is final

Remind me not to do a quiz around this date,

Actually I thought there might be a word before it but couldn't think what it was so well done to pip. I was actually thinking that boot was old boot so pleased I got that one right.
