    Queens v Alloa

A Qos trait - for as long as I can remember- is to drop points in games we were expected to do well in..I am confident though that this team has the mental strength to go in and get us the 3 points on Saturday . The loss of Jones is a sore one but we have other options in attacking areas . This brings me on to a very topical point . Our money constraints in recent years have meant we have had a good 11 or12 but not a good 14 or15 say. ie little strength in depth .Not useful when injuries and suspensions kick in and results have suffered because of that . This seasons SQUAD is proving to have a bit more about it more through design or accident than other years . As I said earlier, maybe I should know better , but I am getting a little excited about our prospects with 8 games to go . Alloa will be their usual dogged selves but roll on Saturday, cant wait .

It’s been a while since we’ve had options on the bench who can come on and change the game JRS. The loss of Jones is a big blow but Fitzpatrick will be his obvious replacement. Great to have Shields fit and playing again also. Not sure what’s happening with the Rangers Covid 5 but if we lose young Dapo that’s another blow for Queens.

Saying that we should still have enough in our locker to win against an Alloa side who will as always make things difficult for ourselves.

Rangers Five hearing on 25th March so could face a lengthy ban after that date.

Use to hate playing Alloa under Hartley as they were so negative but equally hard to beat. Become something of a bogey side but it's time to rectify this and use Debude whilst we still have him before he is suspended. Shields and Debude up front in Jone's absence should scare the living daylights out of the Alloa defence. I suspect AJ will not make the mistake of starting with Dickson as he did last Saturday.
