The amount of absolute tripe we've had in midfield is astonishing and I've left a lot of players out of this just because they didn't play as many games.

Agreed. Would I be seen as a bit "dog with a bone" if I was to suggest that list should include who brought those tremendously valuable players to the club?

My my we really have had some shockers play for us in the wilderness years.

Not all those listed were with us in the bad days, quite a few (no names, no pack drill!) are more recent additions/departees.

Apologies for hijacking a worthy thread with my team of @@@@ - Rachubka was not only naff but I believe he deliberately messed up in the Blackpool game, he literally rolled out the ball to one of their attackers and stood and watched him score

Hehe not at all some on that list made my smile/shudder.

Few down the years who I will never forget for their Alioski style spirit - Paddy Kisnorbo, Andy Hughes, Becchio, Rudy’s having a Larry Austin and Delph - gutted when we sold Delph.

Did more than once, I believe one of those games was the Scum FA Cup game?

An absolute hero for me, another one cut a little short with us because of his knee injury had 0 pace when he came back from that and just wasn't able to compete. Him and Naylor were exactly what we needed at that time to get out of that league

Yup such a shame with the knee injury as he was good for us during an average period.
