    Three in a row?

An intriguing game ahead this afternoon. Big for us, huge for them.

Their need being so much greater than ours means I fear they'll sneak it. Would be thrilled with a point.

No thrills I'm afraid. Slack defence, few chances, got what we deserved.

Three in a row was never likely. Fortunately we now have a break from league action next week and a chance to make some changes.

We weren't at it today. That said, I'm not panicking. The Lafferty shot should have been saved; the second was after a deflection which went Killie's way, same with the third, and Magloire fell trying to turn that on plastic at the fourth. I don't remember our defence being regularly cut to ribbons, nor Liam having to perform heroics; in the middle of it all, Roberts hits the post with the keeper nowhere. We were absolutely grim; it was Killie's day; we lost an away match on fake grass; we move on with a decent points cushion.

Not unfair but somewhat optimistic. Goalie errors happen even to the best and we actually recovered well - at half-time you wouldn't say we were dominant but looked comfortable enough. But we didn't come out for the second half at all and while the second goal was a lucky deflection, it was coming because Killie had been so much more positive after the break.

Had Roberts' shot gone in, Killie would have been incredibly nervous and we may have snatched something but no complaints we didn't.

County and Accies' results elsewhere means we remain in a very strong position - one more result gets it done but it'll be edgy till it comes.
