    Model Railways

I'm fairly sure it was Woody, who posted that he had taken up building a model railway set. Anyway this link popped into my inbox

Yes it was me mate. Useful link, nothing for me there yet though because I am building an "N" gauge system but will keep my eye on it.

I will try and post a pic of what I have put together so far, which is not much!

Woodie, if it helps, I'm happy to assist in posting the item to you, if I can do it cheaper than the auction house, but this auction is quite a few miles away from me. Regards

An interesting lot for sure. At the moment I have two locomotives, one is non-operational [eye candy only] and the other is a small tank engine. I have not yet got a power supply to run it as I am concentrating on building up a basic circuit and some kind of diorama to support it. In fact I think in my mind building the railway infrastructure and towns-cape is just as, if not more, important than getting the whole thing running! Eventually I will try to acquire locomotives that fit into the 60s midland/northern industrial setting I am trying to make. I think what I am doing in my dotage is trying to recreate the environment I grew up in!

Here is what I have so far.

The left hand section is going to be the town/industry/loco yard, the middle section open country and the right hand side maybe a small village/country town. Lot of stuff yet to do!
