Exactly the kind of player you want at a club. No ego, no *******s just a lad who has worked hard for what he has but hasn't let it go to his head.
Hope he stays for years to come and eventually gets a 10 year testimonial, deserves it.
Bloody good player as well. Wish we got to see a bit more of him at full back as that is where he really shows his full talent but it is a mark of the quality he has that he can drop into central midfield and do a job there
Quality player with a bit of edge to his game too.
Side before self ethos.
Billy and the boys would thoroughly approve.
Think if any game is where he stood out was that Derby ****show where he for me was one of very few to really stand up and be counted, we may have lost but his head never went down and he nearly pulled us through a game where the rest crumbled. I wouldn't be surprised if when Cooper eventually drops out of the team/leaves he becomes captain.
Agree with all the sentiments on the thread, just one question....why not captain and vice-captain, now? Cooper may have been valuable in the Championship, but has been much less so since promotion, and as has been said elsewhere, sentimentality for past contributions isn't going to maintain/move us on. Not saying Dallas and Ayling are superstars (yet!) but they show more ability at this level, and certainly as much leadership potential (given how Coopers absences have had to be "accommodated")
He does and it will be Cooper till he leaves as though a lot of people give him **** he is a genuine leader off the pitch and that what you need. At times he might seem quiet on the pitch but how often do we see Cooper clatter through someone or dominate someone in the first minute to win a header.
Wouldn't surprise me if Bamford was one of the next in line when Cooper and Ayling finally drop out, providing he is still here of course.
Dallas. Quality.
