    Bruce rumours

few people have heard he is getting the chop in next day or so.

The latest whispers are that Ashley was genuinely standing by him and not bothered about the 4m

The headache he has is that he has nobody lined up or showing any interest.

The players have allegedly forced his hand

I don’t believe a word of that for two reasons. Ashley is greedy and loves money. Secondly it is impossible that Ashley is not aware of likely relegation and knows Cabbage is responsible.

We’ve been through 2 unnecessary relegations already - how is it that Ashley cannot learn from his mistakes?

Ashley starting to look everyday more like Ellis Short - clueless at appointing staff to run the football side of the club and a refusal to invest in quality staff (managers, coaches and players) because he thinks any old manager will do. It’s not possible Ashley can’t see the difference in ability of Rafa compared to the other riff-raff we’ve had managing us. He is absolutely clueless as a football club owner.

However, I can believe the issue is that nobody is lined up or wants it.

    Why would you.

I actually think that the 4m wouldn’t bother him because that 4m will be coming out of the club anyway, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a case where there’s no one lined up to take the job.

Also it’s common place for chairman to back their manager, and sack him a week later. So you never know

I think it’s too late to save us from relegation next manager will have to have a good championship record.
