McGrath is wanting to come to Aberdeen but St.Mirren are reluctant to let him go at the price we offer plus Kennedy heading in the opposite direction but the deal is done anyway. Shay Logan will not do the dirty and take the Celtic job.

I reckon there's got to be some activity this week. The boy Gurr will get announced, and at least one other and maybe a bit of clarity on one or two who were offered contracts.

For me, I’d be happy to see us snapping up emerging talent like the boy McGrath, who’s got potential to improve, give us a good 2-3 years then be sold for a decent sum. Those are about the most exciting type of signings we’re likely to get. Any “big name” is likely to be someone over the hill and struggling to get a game elsewhere.
