I'm afraid that St.Mirren type defeats in the cup are inevitable.
It's what Cup competitions are all about.

    Apart from that, I agree.

The continuing inability to break down the anti-fitba perpetrated by everyone currently below 4th, exacerbated by our being on the bones of our collective arse financially, and unable to fund a flair player or two capable of providing a necessary such spark.

    Ho-hum.

Need a bigger league so half of them aren’t fighting relegation before a ball is kicked. In theory, yo-yo clubs like Hearts, Dundee Utd etc should open up a bit with less pressure on them.

    A New Hope
    Good recruitment
    Youth
    Attacking intent
    Some goals
    Positive attitude against the in-bred
Top 6 finish, ideally with European qualification, and a cup semi or two

I'd be happy with that as a first season for an inexperienced manager who has to rebuild a full squad. I think we have to expect a lot of inconsistency and learning as we go. So more about performances than results for me. Expectations will then be raised quite a bit for the 2nd season, however.

Not much. Top 6 finish, a good cup run and decent football. A major re-build has to happen as well, and that will take a few seasons.

Scott Brown lifting a trophy above his head in Aberdeen colours.....just to make me have a wry smile to myself when I see it happen.

If Glass is Luke Skywalker, does that make "Broonser" Obi Wan? Surely not Yoda (that must be Craig Brown or God).

Maybe Broonser is Darth Vader and this is the moment where his mask comes off and he repents, throwing the Emperor off the cliff (in this case Dermot Desmond or some other over-powerful Tim overlord with evil intent).

Maybe we should have a separate Glass Wars thread...
