Correct 78 we also need to bin the captain off to he isnt worth his place.

Hampshire got lucky with the preparation of a poor pitch. If Notts had taken all the chances dropped - or half of them - on the first day, Hants could have been bowled out for under 150 and Notts gone on to decent 1st inns lead.

When you win the toss and bat because you think the pitch isn't good and won't get better, and get bowled out for 150 - and not because of especially bad batting, it isn't a good surface in my opinion.

I have to agree. Steven Mullaney has been a great servant to Notts, but his form this season with bat and ball doesn't merit a place in the team. In Lyndon James, Liam Patterson-White and Joey Evison we have three young all-rounders who have out performed him and have considerable potential for improvement. Mullaney's inclusion is holding one of them back.

The final round of County Championship games have just started, Notts still in with a chance of the title if other results go our way.

Yorkshire win the toss and put Notts in to bat. Live feed here:

Notts well past the 200 mark now and Clarke is in the nervous nineties with the second new ball imminent...

Clarke stylishly brings up his 5th Notts ton with a magnificent six!

Evison gets his first 50. 266/6 now with the 100 partnership in sight if they can stay together.

    EDIT: Clarke goes for 109

Overall a pretty good day after being put in, we will probably be the happier of the two teams. At last Joe Clarke turns a useful score into a big score, and again Joey Evison shows his worth. A third batting point has to be priority in the morning, if that is achieved any more runs will be a bonus. Looking at the other games Warwickshire seem to be in pole position after today, but still a lot to play for.

Disappointing to miss out on the third batting point, but a perfect morning session otherwise.

Yorkshire reduced to 63/8, still 233 behind.
