A draw with maximum batting/bowling points would secure the title?

I think you could well be right.

    Currently 220-1, going really well.
Glamorgan 151-3, also going well and Middle*** also going well, restricting Worcester to 90-4.

We don’t even need maximum batting points, scoring 350 within the 110 over limit will be enough if we take maximum bowling points.

Congratulations to Matthew Montgomery on his first century for Notts. There is Raine and Drissell at Trent Bridge, but play continues.

Bugger. Raine and Drissell didn’t stop play but bad light did, just as I’d got back to watch the last hour.

My initial reaction on seeing that Notts are 276-2 at the end of play was to wonder if we'd just prepared an absolute road for this game given that a high scoring draw guarantees us promotion, which is all that really matters. Even if there are good batting conditions though, you've still got to go out there and play well to take advantage, especially as Durham have a decent bowling attack.

After a bit of a debacle at Worcester, I'm glad to see we seem to come out with the right attitude for this game. We've essentially won Day 1 of 4, just need to keep it up for another 3 days. Having Broad among our bowlers should help - good of him to be available given he could easily have been watching rather than playing!

First time in nearly one hundred years that four Notts batsmen have scored a century in an innings.

That was quite some innings for Notts wasn't it? Remarkable.

Even though three more points are technically needed, that innings has pretty much secured promotion. No way can Durham win from here. Middle*** are in a strong position against Worcs, so we probably need to bowl Durham out twice to win the title.
