    why not have a Britain's got talent for bands?
    a proper band . guitars drums etc .
    bands not 5 fkn kids dancing.
    just wondering.
    Who.Stones.will it happen again?

    Would be good, but the days of that type of band have gone

    Some remnants but current generation want instant success so they won’t put the practice hours in.

    Plus as on the other thread there’s the decline and fall of the working men’s clubs, important venues for up and coming bands

    Same with comedians, whilst there is the odd good one most of the stand up “improv” comedians are about as funny as an attack of mumps

    If it's any crumb of comfort, today's young people will one day be complaining that new music was not as good as it was in their day.

    A great idea, but as everyone has said, it's about instant fame.
    Also, tribute acts are a big deal now. Why spend hours writing, when all those brilliant songs are already available.
    Cowell made it quite clear on his talent shows that musicians don't matter.
