There was "Rumour Has It" (Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Costner) which played on the idea that a girl finds out that her mother and grandmother may have been the inspiration for Charles Webb to write the book "The Graduate" in 1963.

Charles Webb also wrote a sequel to "The Graduate" called "Home School" which picks up on the same themes as the first book with Elaine and Benjamin now married and Mrs Robinson comes to stay...Webb sold the film rights but nothing came of it.

There've been some TV shows that have been tangential spin-offs of the original story without being specific about the origins.

Charles Webb, the author of the book, died just last year. He and his wife were rather sad old eccentric Californians (she more than him) who lived out their last years in self-imposed poverty - in Eastbourne of all places.

The Abominable Dr Phibes. Enough ham to make an omelette, but great fun.

Watch " The Jackal " last week, starring Edward Fox, seen it many times, but thought
    a decent film.
    On the television again today.

Did you know that Johnny Fontaine was played by Al Martino who was a top singer in his own right.
His major hit was in 1965 with “Spanish Eyes”

I found the sequel to be as good as, and perhaps even better than the original. Al Pacino and Robert De Niro were fantastic.
Did you know that Robert De Niro's Italian is very good but Al Pacino's is terrible?

Talking of horrors. The full 90+ minutes of the Coventry game are available on ESPN+ replay if anyone wants to watch
