I won't give up, this forum lacks diversity and culture. I shall continue my efforts to educate you all to the positives of women's footie. BTW the French stuffed our national side tonight despite our new coach, I think it was a Caetano Levante.

How very dare you? Norder and sinkov provide those two attributes in spades.

Whoops! Is it OK to say "spades" these days?

United throw more money at their women's football team than most clubs in EFL divisions 1 & 2 can manage on their first teams. No wonder our lasses got mangled.

There were some big scores just in the Sunday games. West Ham women won 11-0 and Arsenal women 10-0.

I keep seeing the thread title 'Burnley women' and it keeps reminding me of the time I was working at Burnley Fire Station, it's an old story, I've posted it online before but I'm going to have to tell it again.

Over at Blackburn Fire Station the working girls used to tout for business across the road, if it was freezing cold, or raining, some of the girls would come into the kitchen for a brew and to warm up, it was the night shift and there were no big bosses around, so no problem. One night one of the Blackburn pumps turned up at Burnley on stand-by, we were having a brew in the kitchen and one of our lads asked if the girls were still coming into the kitchen at Blackburn, yes he said they were, and then asked if they ever nipped into our kitchen for a brew. Quick as a flash my mate replied, 'There are no prostitutes in Burnley, too many enthusiastic amateurs'.

    Burnley girls eh ?
