    One of my aunts lived on City Road Sheffield

    Near to her were 3 WMCs all within about 100 yards of each other The Arundel, Park & Arbourthorne Club and the Manor Social Club

    Whilst the men had their favourite of those three the women weren’t so picky. Sunday lunchtime ( the pudding burners hour) the three clubs had bingo sessions but they staggered the times so it was common to see a gaggle of women moving from one club to the next to get three bingo sessions in.

    I wonder if East Herringthorpe Club is still going? Had some great nights in there and seen some great turns. Although it did take a lot of business from the Davy Lamp across the street. Now there's a pub ...lol
