I'll probably back half a dozen or more, Bet365 have their 50% refund on all each way bets on again, it virtually doubles the price of every horse you back. At the moment I can't get out of my head that Magic of Light ran Tiger Roll very close two years ago, and the Irish horses are running all over ours at the moment, which means you have to take seriously every one they ship over.

Probably the best bet though is to sharpen your lucky pin and let it do the job.

    I'm going with:
    5-1 Cloth Cap (favourite)
    12-1 Minella Times
    16-1 Kimberlite Candy
Each way bet on the last two.

I backed Kimberlite Candy for last years National at 50/1 before it ran in the Classic at Warwick, it hacked up there and was immediately shortened to around 12/1 for the big race. I thought I was onto a cracking bet, but Covid put a stop to that. I've just had to back it again this year, at 16/1 with the Bet365 offer making it 33/1, but maybe it missed it's big chance last year.

I used to back horses years ago but was useless at it, even studying form and betting each way. The Grand National is even more of a lottery.

I bet once a year on the Grand National because it is a good watch. So avoid the following horses because I always lose:-
    Burrows Saint
    Magic of Light
    Takingrisks
    Kimberley Candy
    Yala Enki
    Sub Lieutenant
