No one is saying that Dykes is a superb player who deserves Idol status like the greats that have graced the shirt beforehand but he certainly is the best of the current bunch for the job he does. There is no way that Dobbie would have scored the record number of goals in that season without Dykes doing the hard graft out wide. The 4 goals that Dobbie scored against Ayr a few seasons back or on official social media pages today. Lyndon’s critics should perhaps watch them and see how important he was for Queens & Dobbie.

So why talk dykes up as though he is a world beater? And Francis has an opinion on a player, or board, just the same as the rest of us on here yet he is slaughtered for it. Dykes work off the ball and all the distance he covered during games assisted greatly to Dobbie's 43 goals in season 2018/19.

Does that mean we should all agree? I personally thought dykes was a decent player, at times. That was my point. He only produced in the big games and never looked interested against the smaller sides. That is down to attitude rather than ability and that’s why I think he will never be a great player

The bottom line gents is that football is full of opinions and everybody will see things differently. That should be respected and nobody should be pilloried for having a different opinion. It’s no wonder that people have left this board when they are treated like that

And calling someone classless or clueless is respectful? It’s comments like that which can make people suffer with there mental health and has been known to put people into an early grave. Maybe some should consider how they word there comments , especially when it is coming from three or four people

Guess that you have not read enough of the guttural posts that this guy was regularly issuing or perhaps we should simply acknowledge the mental problems he has and go easy on him so as not to offend him
