If an apology is needed Zip then I apologise but it works both ways.Anyway that’s an end to the matter from my viewpoint except to say I hope Longstaff has a belter if picked next game.

No apology needed, man. I agree that it works both ways, too.

My own view on Longstaff is that he worked bloody hard and, defensively, put a real shift in but, going forward, I thought he was canny poor.

Everyone knows how much i rate him and it pains me to say this but, at the moment, I'd have Willock in ahead of him.

Both Longstaffs' careers will only be saved if Bruce gets the boot. I have a horrible idea that, if we survive, Bruce will have his contract extended. The only time I want 'extended', 'contract' and Bruce used in the same sentence is in this one: 'there was an extended period of celebration in Newcastle when the contract out on Steve Bruce resulted in him being flattened by a steam roller during a trip to Beamish'.

The only positive was The Saint the majority of the team up till he came on were abysmal.

Longstaff, Shelvey and Jokelinton should never be near a first team start.

This from the Mag, says it all about Bruce, a legend in his own mind.
