    Willock

Why is he not being picked exactly?
When playing with 3 cb's...you don't need to play with 2 defensive midfielders(neither Shelvey nor Longstaff are good at this anyway) and the whole point of him....is that he's a box to box player with ACTUAL talent and goal threat!!!!!

Bruce plays his cloggers everytime, Willock saved us against spurs and his reward stay on the bench, he is a quality player who could give our midfield real spark but no we get longstaff and shelvey instead.

Incredible. Big Jo gets picked ahead of him. No surprise that we looked much better when the former left the pitch today.

Longstaff is NOT a defensive midfielder... he is seen as shiite because he is being played out of position.

He is a more attacking midfielder (as Willock is)...

Poor poor coaching and severely bad management

Instead of playing Joe Linton up front, we could have Willock behind the main striker (Gayle until Wilson is ready) with Almiron and Saint running at the defence from each wing position but also being able to take the ball into the middle of the field and take shots at goal or creating changes from further within the pitch (especially the Saint is more than capable of this).

Of course we have injuries right now, but why not play move Longstaff further up the pitch and then maybe have Hendrick (yes, he's garbage) behind him cleaning up what he can? It's a bit risky, but it would allow us to attack way more. At least against a team like Burnley and the likes.

Also, surely Matty L. can't be far away from a first team selection soon with the way his brother, Hendrick and Shelvey have played.

We will miss Hayden for the remainder of the campaign.

    Agreed.

Longstaff under Rafa was a totally different player to Longstaff under Bruce.

    Bruce is destroying him.

    Every player is being eroded.

Only the best ones are rising above the mess.
