    Sheff Wed v Swansea

Sheff Wed v Swansea Tue 13 April 18:00
This is our game in hand and re-arranged fixture.
After the impressive performance against Millwall at the weekend the Swans will be looking to continue in that vein of form.
Sheff Wed lost 4-1 at QPR on Saturday and are struggling at the foot of the table. Last home match they beat Cardiff 5-0 in their best display of the season so we will have to be at our best for this one.
The reverse fixture at the Liberty was drawn 1-1 with Tony Pulis in charge of the Owls. The match ended in controversy with ref Andy Woolmer denying Swans a penalty for hand-ball right at the end, and then disallowing Kasey Palmer’s follow up goal for a foul on the goalkeeper. Replays showed there wasn’t a Swans player anywhere near the keeper. Cooper, who’d had previous with Woolmer last season, and asked for a change of ref before the match, was fined £3,500 by the FA for his comments on the ref after the match.

Another good away performance last night with 5 goals for and 0 goals against in the last two away games, as we dig our way out of the bad run.
Twenty matches this season so far with a clean sheet, our record was twenty four matches in season 2009-2010.
Sheff Wed played well and the game was pretty even as the match stats show, the difference being we took our chances they didn’t.
Their last home match they put 5 goals past Cardiff without reply so we knew we were in for a tough game.
Next up is Wycombe at home on Saturday, another side struggling at the foot of the table.

After four straight defeats, three of them by the single goal, one of the matches a penalty in the last minute, another of the matches an own goal in the last minute, have we turned the corner?
Cooper has stuck with the change to a 4-3-3 formation in the last three matches and we look a much better side, playing the passing football that our fans want and scoring goals again.
We mostly stopped their key midfield player Bannan from creating too many chances and took ours well for the two goals.
MoM for me was Grimes who’s work rate was high and Ayew for laying on the first goal for Lowe and his defensive work at set pieces.
