    Under 23's

Job well done with a nice win away at Aston Villa - seems Greenwood scored a cracking free kick. Best part though is Forshaw played 84 minutes. It would be good to see him get some first team tine before next season.

Yeah. Orta should be charged with gross incompetence. How dare he bring in young, little known talented football players to an academy side. Doesn't he know that he is supposed to acquire established players who cost a minimum of £25m?

At least 14 of the 19 players listed in the U23 squad have arrived at the club SINCE Bielsa arrived as head coach. Before Bielsa arrived, the number of players who have succeeded in either senior or supporting squads can be numbered (literally), on the fingers of one hand.

I'm absolutely delighted at the succes of the U23s, but please don't delude yourselves that it's Orta who has been the architect of that success, he wouldn't know how.

As a postscript (bearing in mind Cherrypies comment), it would be even more encouraging to see members of that very successful Academy squad given the opportunity to show their senior squad potential (Bielsa etc please take note).

Won the league after acclimatising at a canter, 2 games to go, nearest is Stoke, who have 2 games in hand but trail by 15pts. Next season in with the "big fish"....passing 2 from Southampton, Leicester, Wet Spam who are in Div 1 relegation battle

BTW, Geldardt, unknown? Wigan may not be Barca but they aren't Forest Green either! 😉

And with the greatest respect (genuinely meant), insofar as LUFC goes, completely meaningless if it doesn't feed the 1st team (or revenue from the sale of players who will never make the 1st team).

FFS, something to celebrate but you have to turn every thread into your boring/stifling negative last word ****e. Winning, the U23' have now climbed 2 divisions on the trot and will be playing at a more ready level next season... the club is moving on despite your constant negativity, but carry on....

Yes something to celebrate, with that much I agree with. But it was you who had to mention our dear (as yet undeparted) DoF, not me and Cherrypie just tagged along for the ride.
