Double substitution with 3 minutes remaining.

    What was the point?

Little option really.I thought overall we played really well.It was a last throw of the dice. With Fulham failing to win it is going to be very difficult for them to pull back 6 points in their remaining fixtures. It's all in our own hands and I was encouraged by today even though we lost.

I thought we played really well, too. We were very unlucky with Greenwood’s deflected second goal, as up till then ,we looked very good value for a point. Sometimes you don’t always get what you deserve. Forget about Fulham , they’re going down. It’s as simple as that.

Substitution was made because they got the deflected goal. Had that not gone in there was no need to make any subs because we were playing well enough.
United have beaten us twice this season with deflected goals ---it is the way that the luck can go, although, there are a number of fans on this board who don't think some things are lucky.

See. We can play something different than 4-4-2.

Of course we can, we did, and we still lost.

Trouble is we go into these games playing for a draw or a hoof and hope second ball or set piece and it rarely works.I thought watching the match that they were there for the taking after playing on Thursday night and with a bit more attacking intent we could have got a result.
As usual Man U got lucky with their second goal but we had enough situations to trouble them more if we had a bit more quality in the build up.

Your quite right CiB, It was a typical Dyche tactic, you set up for a 0-0 and hope to steal a goal somehow. The only game I can recall it working this season was at Liverpool. We have shown a positive attacking format recently with Wood & Vydra personally I would have kept them as a partnership for this game. As for the substitutions when we conceded the second it was all over, time had run out. I thought we played quite well and the 3-1 was not a true reflection of the game.

True enough CiB, but to have more quality in the build up, we need more quality in the squad, and we're back to the root cause of why we're 4th from bottom, and it's nowt to do with tactics, team selection or substitutions.

Jesus f*cking wept guys. United have about 30 full internationals to choose from, including World Cup winners, Champions League experience and more internationals on the bench than you can shake a stick it.

We have Benson. Get real please?
