Just watched BBC News and this seems to be not so much a kite flying exercise as a foregone conclusion.

Just as we are back where we belong, the money men and Covid seem to be coincidentally conspiring to deny true fans the opportinity to see their team play against the best of the opposition.

I'd ask how do those who promote this obscenity sleep at night, but I know the answer already.

Agree that any team that participates in this Euro super league should be kicked out of all current leagues and cups with their players being banned from international football.

I think the ban should be for a minimum of 5 years and I would be fairly confident the Euro Super League would lose its appeal quickly and stagnate.

We all know that it's the changes of opponents/teams in leagues & cups that refresh the interest and keep them timeless. Something this super league wouldn't be able to do with bans in place. Truthfully no matter what team you support we all love to see the underdog win every once in a while, again something the super league can't offer.

'Exhibition matches'. Arsenal? Spurs? No promotion/relegation. Closed shop. What's the point? No interest. Balls.

Exactly. The proposal comes right at the time when arsenal, spurs and possibly Liverpool are going to miss out on Champions league. Not sure what will happen if arsenal miss champions league for another season. Look what happened to Leeds when that occurred. Juventus are sitting 4th in serie a and in a massive financial hole as well. This is a project simply about money and protecting investment. Locking out others.

Not a fan of FIFA or UEFA, but maybe the ruling bodies should make any change to structure or formation of new competitions something only they can authorise and attempts like today's obscenity would be punished by any clubs involved being automatically expelled from the respective leagues, without leave to appeal?

Good on Mateus, now how about something of the same from our owner(s)?

Given we are safe, should we boycott the three games against Liverpool, Scum and Spurs?
