    After embarrassing accident, I'm back

Got a lot of catching up to do.
    Sorry to hear off
Chris's heart surgery,, hope it went well.
Baggie Singh, best wishes to your daughter. B'ham Children's hospital are fantastic. After spending 6 months visiting our James in there. We have the upmost respect and gratitude for all the staff there.
Also sorry to hear of your trouble Baggieall, wishing you all the best.
A couple of weeks ago I tried to get something just inside my loft, instead of asking my wife tried to do it myself.
Instead of using the proper steps tried to use some small ones.
I over stretched lost my balance, sent the steps flying and grabbed the roof truss attached to the joist.
I then slid down the truss to the nail plate at the junction of the joist.
I sliced the side of my hand down to bone and then cut 2 fingers. I then fell headbutted the banister, knocked myself
out. Come round, got a discolated knee and put my back out.
Blood every where, i'm on blood thinners.
Went to hospital and had to have 5 stitches and put my knee back. My knee pops out regular, but have the nack of getting it back myself.
Stiches out tomorrow and ist day feel comfortable with my back.

Oh dear Lloyd, that sounds really bad!

Hope you are properly on the mend now, and that everything goes well.

I've worked on ladders, steps, climbed along steel joists, perlings running cables, never had a fall.
Then I do this from 4 ft , reminds me of my mate John from telecom I was working with him and he fell of a chair and broke 3 ribs and punchered his long.
The week before he was climbing Kilmanjaro.
I am always falling over due to my balance losing my big toe and my left knee giving way.
Should have known better ,my wife wasn't pleased.

Sounds awful and hope you are recovering. We are all getting old and sadly things don’t go as you want them too! I bet you are as drugged up as myself on pain killers etc!

    Best wishes

All the best Lloyd - although it does sound like you have been reenacting a little too much of Oliver Hardy on youtube see link

Blokes of a certain age shouldn’t go anywhere near ladders; that ‘certain age’ is whatever your age is now! All the best for your recovery, Lloyd and just forget about jobs around the house, just listen to music instead.
