    ST Vincent Volcano Disaster.

    £200k of aid from the U.K. is not good enough.

    THIS is exactly what the Foreign Aid budget should be there for and not to be wasted on hair brained things like we often do.

    This crisis needs serious funding so step up to the plate Boris.

    I didn't even know there'd been a volcanic eruption. In fairness to the government the £200,000 is an 'initial' sum. I'll avoid the easy pun about them not wanting to send more money up in smoke......

    Probably because it's in a country deemed as third world. You would know about it if Vesuvius or Mount Rainier went off and the relief effort and aid funding would be off the scale.

    Isn't St Vincent a tax haven , I wonder if the tax dodgers which put their hands in there deep pockets to help out.

    A tad cynical but also true. I vaguely think I have heard of it, which is something I am not proud to say.
