The FORWARD press is dead .......

Other clubs have worked out that they can’t play their normal game of playing out from the back against Barnsley.
Consequently regularly substituting our front 3 is dead.
We now have to start and STICK WITH our best 3 strikers.

Morris - only striker we have at holding the ball up.
Freiser - only striker we have that can hassle and has pace.
Dike - only striker we have that is a real goal scorer.

Chaplin and Victor as subs if needed.
Woodrow dropped - not good enough.

Half time post - and I reckon I called it right.
We have to start every game now with our best 3 strikers and stick with them throughout unless one of them runs out of steam.
We win against Hudders - but that was a victory for our defenders - not our strikers.
In saying that when Morris and Dike play side by side we look the part.
But we can’t go forward if these two only come together for only 45 minutes.

    Oh right.
Does that theory apply across the board i.e. once it’s done it’s done and that’s it.
For example - two world wars.
    Germany 0 - 2 England.
    End of conversation.

I have never been a person who walks out of the WELL and thinks ‘game over, switch off’.
Often it has been very detrimental to me but I dwell on what I have seen and from this I try to make sense of it.
    Winning has never been everything.
Although winning is more satisfying - I find how we have played, win lose or draw more interesting.
