    Walking Football?

Two mates of mine run Cradley Town FC and they're starting up a walking football night every Tuesday at 7.00pm.

I've decided to give it a go because even at nearly 60 I still miss playing, I'm told by the lads it's harder than it looks but great fun.

Anyone is welcome so if any of you fancy it and can get along to their ground between Lye and Halesowen it would be great to out faces to names.

Obviously some of you are too old and decrepit.........Lloyd, it'd be nice to see you but I suspect you wouldn't make it across the car par intact never mind the pitch

Des, they have a bar there at Cradley Town so maybe you'll pop over one week just to observe the wildlife surrounding the ground and to abuse me verbally?

Pedestrian football, well, I can think of some from our club who could be interested, and familiar with the concept.

Clue: they are not part of the starting XI anymore. 😎😇

I always thought that Dimitar Berbatov was the master at walking football, a class act, he always seemed to have so much time to look around and pick the right pass!

At his best he was a sublime top class act. 🌟

Wish I could play Mick. A few of my mates have had a go and they enjoy it.

‘ Just seen this advertised on the internal stadium notice board and walking football would be ideal for us ‘. Any chance?

Played for three years now Mick, absolutely love it. Never thought I'd kick a ball in anger again, built some good friendships to. Highly recommend, all ages can play and have fun, Albie.

Albie - just joined a team! Is it good for exercise as used to be good at football but with my health can't do something too excessive

Afternoon Al, you can make it as excessive as you want. Go steady early doors and see how you go. We have people who have had serious illnesses and disabilities play. They say its great therapy for them. What I enjoy most are the smiles on peoples faces, the enjoyment and well-being of playing .It's as though we're all ****agers again having fun at what we love. Go for it Al and tell me about it over a beer at our first away game in the coming season. On a personal note, wishing you a speedy recovery ,all the best cheers Albie.
