They were indeed the days...not quite sure I'll be able to watch it, though. Like the book 'Touching Distance', I was there to witness it all and can't separate the football, the excitement, etc with the ultimate failure...not to say that I won't watch stuff like that in the future but with the way things are at the minute, it resonates in all the wrong ways and would probably end up just pissing me off.

Ironic SKY make a programme about it when they kept putting manure games on before ours allowing them to continually cut the gap at the top we were always shunted on after them on sundays or monday nights. As for the programme ill watch but it will be sad to watch in places especially the 1996 run in.

    Pretty much:
    - great memories of the journey
    - bad memories of blowing the title
    - despair at what we have become

I was a bit disapointed with this.

could have been so much better than it was.

Thought it was going to be an hour long, it all seemed pretty rushed and squeezed into half hour, some lovely memories but such a sad ending, it did all come down to the manure game if we had won that we were champions

Aye, Schmeical really was the difference that night.

Lets not forget who the starting centre half was that evening ensuring that the team he supports learns their place against the "big teams".
