Next up - Killie at Fir Park

Motherwell and Kilmarnock meet at Fir Park on Saturday for a match that matters more to the visitors than the hosts. - External Link

Given their need you expect them to beat us. I'm not overly bothered by the result but more the nature of the performance- go forward, try to play well but lose to a more determined team is meh on the day but suggests next season will be tolerable. Win 1-0 but with a repeat of recent tactics would obviously be good short term but hardly inspiring for the future.

'Er indoors has bludgeoned me to take her out on Saturday. Normally I'd contest a visit to M&S, NEXT and the Hamilton bogs ... but, I'll take that over watching the game today.

The players may also feel a sense of injustice following Killie's Coronavirus postponement & subsequent decision earlier in the season. Will our squad hit the beach? Much might depend on whether Lafferty is fit enough to play today - he's always good for a goal or two against us; but it'll be good to have Tony Watt fit again.
