    Southend

I never realised they had been in the EFL for so long, their relegation must be akin to us almost going out in '87. Got to feel for them even if they are southerners and the favourite holiday place of east enders. I haven't checked results but think we didn't do well at the Roots Hall.

Brown did really well with Hull but seems to have gone down hill since then.

I remember Tranmere always doing that as well in the 90s, but for me footy shouldn't be played on a Friday night.

It shouldn't, but if you won it made your weekend.

I suppose in the case of Tranmere it made a bit of sense, on Saturday afternoon they always had either Liverpool or Everton playing just across the river.

I remember going to Southend and getting leathered 4-0. Mark Monington suffered the worst foul I have ever seen and it completely knacked his career.
