    Villa v everton

Great performance last night, bbc coverage was dog sh!t on match of the day, Ollie Watkins was outstanding, but everyone turned up and we looked more like ourselves. Bring on utd!

We seem to play better v the so called big boys. This was as good a performance I have seen all season even Barkley played well. All that without Jack!

Very good performance and win. The ‘three terrors’ turned up and all played to their capabilities, which was refreshing and justifies all the criticism that they’ve been on the end of.

This is what happens when all the team puts the effort in.

There's an extra spring in my step this morning.

Really enjoyed that game, played with purpose and went forward in numbers, Barkley showed what he's all about & if Jack were playing I'm convinced it would have been a comfortable win. It's the best I've seen us without him, I felt Ghazi was poor until he produced THAT finish and had Martinez not made that crucial save just after they equalised it might well have been a different outcome but the same can be said of the chances Pickford kept out.

Like West Brom, they let us have the ball and it suited our style of play, I'm surprised Ancelotti didn't tell them to press us more as that's when we struggle, especially as they could qualify for the Europa. Watkins was superb as was Cashy & Targett, question mark over Luiz for me, granted he's only 22 but usually comes off worst in a tussle & his passing can be terrible - should Nakamba come in for the Utd game or stick with a winning team?

Traore had a good game too, that bit of skill to take Allain to the cleaners was ace!

5 games left - if we play like we can do then Palace & Spurs away are winnable, our home record is suspect and with top 4 at stake for Utd & Chelsea we'll likely get 2 points out of the 3 remaining fixtures.

Yes a terrific performance from the lads and well worth me and the lad getting up at a sparrows fart on a Sunday morning. Traore. Jeez there's some player in there. As WCV mentioned that bit of skill to make Allain look silly was freakishly good. Barkley finally looked interested, or, tried to look interesting to the England manager. Matt Cash, a bit unsung again but his runs forward unsettled Everton.

Dom's courageous header and Emi's brilliant save was football. Really good game to watch. They missed Rodriguez and so did I.
