    Man U v Liverpool cancelled

Not sure what to make of this debacle or whether there should be some punishment for the club(s) demote them both would seem a good result :-)

So what is the normal punishment for a pitch invasion resulting in the match being called off?

This is a direct and clear disruption of the match schedule. The club did not take necessary precautions after the first infiltration of protesters. Large fine and points deduction to be implemented next season. If it was Leeds there would be a 15 point deduction!

Flicking through sportspromedia.com could end up ugly for the Red Devils and BT Sports to.

If the BBC had been covering it, probably given Man Utd the win, plus bonus points.

I think the logical solution would be to put them in administration with a forced sale to Bates or a poor Arab consortium.

Let the supporters have what they want!

They'll probably start the re-arranged fixture with a penalty.

Sure they will get away with no punishment even though this is possibly the easiest opportuniy FA have ever had to put a stamp on the game and show these clubs they can't just do what they want.

Not sure either club would suggest a postponement and re-schedule is "what they want"?

They SHOULD be punished, but the punishment should fit the crime (go back a few years and the same was said about pitch invasions amongst lower level clubs), so it's the club & ground management/ security/police who need to be brought to book, somehow.

Pleased to see they charged the @@@@ who scarred the cop and almost blinded him - Ironic that it is someone from the Wirral, hopefully not seeing any football for a while
