There's more to it than what was going down between Ross and Enzio.
The other players involved could have said to Ross, "Look, what you said made us feel uncomfortable, you can't say things like that mate, it puts us in an awkward position" and hoped he'd get the message, give him a 2nd chance and not upset Enzio with it.
That they did decide to tell Enzio, whilst almost certainly knowing that there was a high probability that it would finish Ross's career at Notts, suggests that Ross was not at all a popular man in the dressing room, or at least strongly disliked by enough of them to the point that it was impacting on their performances and our results.
Yesterday's display would seem to back that theory up. They played like they had a point to prove.
It'll take more than one match though to prove that they were right about his ability to coach and that Ross was wrong to question their desire to challenge for play-off glory.
