Derby County fans on social media, being happy with the takeover not going
through, one saying let the Yanks come in & sort it out. ( Reponse to maybe
    American investors coming in )
Derby County owner Mel Morris reluctant to keep paying the £1.2m a month
    wages.
A question was asked, could the club go into administration, but doubtful
Mel Morris would let this happen.
I think time for Rooney to say, I've had a enough & take up a meet & greet
    job at Old Trafford.

Derby County - Been reported that potential buyers are walking away,
after discovering the club has debts of more than £60m.
Some of the money £10.3m is owed to ex-manager Phillip Cocu, his
assistants, & the compensation payment to Richard Keogh.
Also a HMRC bill for £20m

With a monthly wage bill of £1.2m who will end up chucking money
    at a club spiralling downwards.

That's what you get when you try to buy your way into the premier and fail at it for 4 years in a row . So many clubs have tried and now are in the **** big time .. Washday,Huddersfield,Derby,to name a few.

Don't it give you a warm feeling inside knowing we are run so well and these greedy 'win at all costs' two hats are soon to see their demise.

With the state of play, concerning Derby County Football Club, what will the outcome be.

With over £60m in debts, a failed takeover on two fronts, a possible points deduction,
with owner Mel Morris bailing the club out, paying the £1.2m monthly salaries.
He has expressed concerns on the cost of keeping the club afloat.

With the EFL winning a appeal against the club last week, what punishment will the
club get, points deduction [ held to next season ], a large fine also could be pending,
which they can ill afford, perhaps a transfer embargo.

It was said that Morris wanted £30m for the club, but would new owners want to
also take on a £60m plus debts.
If Morris sold the club for £1 , the new owners would still have the debts.

One way forward, could be for the club to go into administration, take it on the
chin, with getting relegated to division 1 & start afresh, next season.

Even if Derby County went into administration only non- football debt is wiped off by doing so, that's approximately £10m, nowhere near enough.
No accounts for the last two years doesn't help their situation.
Mel Morris needs to give the club away for nothing and agree to cover half the debt.
At present Derby look unsellable, unless some rich numpty want's to take all the debt and liabilities on.

ELK, You said,''One way forward, could be for the club to go into administration, take it on the

It's not about taking it on the chin, they've made a mockery of the game for two seasons now and not been FULLY challenged on matters.

Well the Scottish FA threw the book at Rangers and demoted them to the lowest league tier so, why don't the English FA have the balls to do the same and finally once and for all, make an example of Derby that makes the rest sit up and recognise that enough is enough?

Great idea Brin and as lots of backing but it will never happen. I can't understand why when it's a competion and everyone knows the rules, but then break them and f@ck all happens. Get it written into the rule book what happens for certain "crimes".
They were quick to jump on Macclesfield, didn't they relegate them after/nearly the season ended??

It was reported on the radio last week that Erik Alonso had posted a video on his Twitter account which showcased a really nice penthouse apartment (reported to be worth £42m) that he claimed was his and was intended to demonstrate his wealth/lifestyle.
Unfortunately, plenty of people, who had seen the video, pointed out that it was taken from a previous Tik Tok post from a wealthy American property developer (David Pfaff), who was the actual owner.
Alonso then deleted his Twitter account and has gone into hiding!!!!
