    Watford v Swansea

So here it is, the last league game of this condensed season, where three matches a week have been the norm, but thankfully it’s been a welcome week off from matches this week for the players to rest and recover.
Early kick off for all teams, 12:30 pm, and our match live on Swans TV.
We are already in the play-offs, but position in the table will affect whether we have home advantage in the semi-final second leg or not.
We haven’t been too clever at home recently, although if they decide to let limited fans attend these matches then this could be advantageous.
What kind of team will Watford put out now they are promoted?
Will they give fringe players a run out or play a full strength side to maintain their excellent home record?
Will the Swans want to finish as high as possible in the table and risk injury to their first choice players?
Will Ayew and Guehi, now recovered from injury, need some game time?
Lots of questions that we will find out soon enough.
One thing is for sure, with eight straight wins at home, Watford will be a tough match to get points from. In our favour psychologically perhaps is that we have already beaten them this season at the Liberty.

I’m sure Steve Cooper will want to finish the season on a high and get as many points on the board as possible.
Last team to win at Vicarage Road was QPR in February, after that all straight wins.
Watford have several injury problems. Femenia and Nakia are still out, with Cathcart filling in at right-back.
In midfield Cleverley is out with a hamstring injury sustained in Watford’s 2-0 defeat at Brentford last week, joining Chalobah on the treatment table and winger Starr is unlikely to be risked. Captain Deeney will play some part, an Achilles injury has kept him out since February. Pedro is also available after missing the last match.
Watford have an enviable home record:

    FT: 2-0
How to lose a match in one easy lesson - dominate the game, miss loads of chances, and concede from two break-away goals.
There you have the match report.
Swans blunt up front, tried to walk it into the net, Watford strong defensively, boom boom.

We could have been celebrating auto promotion if only we’d bought a recognised striker.
Final third play let us down again, we were the better side for most of the game.

Yes Acido it’s all about finishing. This is why Norwich and Watford got the auto spots.

    Barnsley 15 shots, 7 on target - 2 goals
    Norwich 5 shots, 2 on target - 2 goals

    Watford 10 shots, 3 on target - 2 goals
    Swansea 15 shots, 2 on target - 0 goals
