    Great stuff, but shame about this lousy weather! Let's hope that it gets better and that you can get out and about. Are you in a holiday rental?
    Might be able to pop up and say hello sometime.

    alf ---it has been the snow and hailstone up here which has been the problem. Rain is fine, you just get wet!

    OK mon ami. I take your attitude to the weather, I can't do anything about it, so I don't worry about it. It can do what it wants, I'll still enjoy the holiday, if it rains a lot, I'll just spend more time in Barter Books.

    Ah, Alnwick, one of my favourite places. How's the volunteer steam railway going on? Last time up you could ride it for about a quarter of a mile.
