I believe there is some correlation between there being no crowd and the poor performances. Many Notts players have played in front of large crowds week-in week-out which is a known motivator and suddenly playing with no fans would make the game seem like a practice match whereas; many players / teams in the NL have mostly played to very small even empty grounds so to them it is normal + these teams see Notts County as a big team and so raise their game!. None of the above is an excuse but it could be a factor in the final analysis.

I think it could be just that ardley was a poor manager.
Thankfully now a distant memory.

It's been shown that home advantage has pretty much been eradicated with no fans in the grounds. Anecdotal evidence from players of many different sports shows players can feed of the crowd's energy as well.

Stream was pretty rubbish for the price to be fair. Constant buffering.
Commentators were ok though. It’s interesting to hear how other clubs view us rather than how we view us.

Ardley was sacked back in March! He's gone QLD.

The question you should be asking is are all the Burchnall doubters and haters now gonna give the guy more of a chance? Could their strong cynical reaction since his arrival have been they a tad premature?

Surely in the past 4/5 games overall they've seen some promising signs in the longer term?

Very early days but the Burchnall Bandwagon still chugging along and all interested are invited to jump on board.

Next stop Maidenhead which won't be easy.

He would have had fewer doubters, haters(?) and cynics if he hadn't played Enzio in defence.

I've never had any doubts more worries. He has simply changed the playing style a bit that's all. Works doesn't it. Anyone who said Ardley was a a boring negative manager was entirely correct though.
